Thirteen-year-old Li Wan lives with her grandparents following her parents' divorce. As she navigates the challenges of adolescence, she yearns for understanding, companionship, and love. Amidst the pressures of traditional Chinese upbringing, Li Wan undergoes her own rite of passage into adulthood. In an attempt to reconnect with his daughter, her father brings home a puppy, which Li Wan names “Einstein.” However, when Einstein unexpectedly goes missing, it sets off a tumultuous and bittersweet journey of growth for Li Wan.
