Synopsis

Adapted from Der Hahn ist tot by Ingrid Noll, the film follows Zhi Ning, a withdrawn researcher at an agricultural institute who repeatedly finds herself unsuccessful in love.

After attending a literary lecture, Zhi Ning becomes infatuated with the writer Kou Yi and begins to follow him in secret. When she is unexpectedly invited to join him on a trip, what seems like a long-awaited chance at love soon turns into a nightmare, as a series of mysterious deaths unfolds and forces her into a desperate fight for survival—blurring the line between devotion and obsession.
